Learning to Fly RC Helicopters

Its every boy/mans dream – to own and fly their own helicopter. Unfortunately, unless you have a spare $250,000 handy many of us are left to buy RC helicopters and live the scaled dream.

Over the past two to three years, there has been a surge of interest in RC helicopters particularly the mini or micro helicopters. These are great because they can be easily flown in the living room or around the house but be warened.  Don’t waste you time buying a cheap ‘Chinese’ import. It will only end in tears.  These Chinese imports look the part but they are prone to faults, breaks and don’t have manufacturer support or parts. These helicopters will only last 20 -50 flights maximum and spare parts are never sold.

Although you could take these back and request a refund under the ‘Consumer Guarantees Act‘ its really not worth the time and hassel. Pay the extra $20 – $50 for the known branks and get house and years of flying fun.
