Choosing an RC Car

Choosing an RC Car

Friday, February 3rd, 2012

We have huge selection of RC cars on our site and it can be difficult to decide which one to buy. Gas or electric, on-road or off-road, so much to consider! I guess this is all about the fun but if you’re buying as a gift there are a few things you should consider.

> Make sure the person your buying the RC car for can afford to purchase parts if required.  Some RC car parts can get expensive especially the gas powered cars so decide with this in mind. We’ve got several cars that are durable and could withstand a five year old and they can be a great stepping stone for more advanced RC cars.

> Another point to consider is the available space and the type of environment you have around you. This may sound like common sense but we’ve had many people request to exchange their gas powered road car for a RC crawler of off road truck because they under estimated how much space they need to drive their fast, gas powered cars.

> Lastly, take into consideration how interested you or the receiver of your gift will enjoy or use the RC car. You don’t want to invest a reasonable amount of money into a RC to find they only use it once. Trademe is handy but very often you’ll find you won’t get anywhere near the price you paid for you car.

The most  important part to take the leap of faith and buy one. We know most people that do are hooked and end up buying several types of cars. So browse through our products and get started today!
